Introduction
Classic Design Jewellery is based upon a bespoke business. Each individual piece is handcrafted link by link which gives endless possibilities for the perfect piece of jewellery. We use anodised aluminium rings which have a resistance to tarnishing and discolouring. The oxidation process strengthens the metal and enhances the ability to accept dyes allowing a wide range of colour options that retain their vibrancy over time. The thick layer on the aluminium also makes each piece of jewellery hypoallergenic. Despite the strength of anodised aluminium, it remains lightweight so it ensures your jewellery is comfortable to wear throughout the day. The oxidation process does not generate any emissions or CO2 which makes it environmentally friendly.
We use stainless steel lobster clasps in various sizes and colours available on request. The earring wires are also stainless steel in silver and gold tone. Hypoallergenic lobster clasps and earring wires are also available on request.
Stainless steel is known for its resistance to tarnishing, corrosion and durability making your piece of jewellery long lasting for years to come.
Caring for your jewellery is easy with a mild soap, water, and a soft polishing cloth to keep it shining.
Anodised aluminium and stainless steel are both a sustainable choice with the qualities of durability, lightweight, eco-friendly, and easy to clean. Whether worn casually during the day or as a statement piece for a special occasion this jewellery is the perfect choice.
Chainmaille is a type of armour consisting of small metal rings linked together in a pattern to form flexible mesh. It was worn by European Knights and other military men throughout most of the medieval period. Chainmaille still has many uses in the 21st century and hand crafted jewellery is one of them. A piece of jewellery is made one link at a time into various weaves, and it has an appearance which is stunning, has flexibility and drapes effortlessly. It will compliment any outfit from casual to formal wear.
Aluminium is a versatile, lightweight and hard-wearing metal. Anodised Aluminium has gone through a process of controlled oxidation. This improves the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of the aluminium. As the oxide layer is fully integrated with the aluminium substrate, this creates a surface that is both resistant to flaking and peeling, whilst being porous enough to facilitate the applications of dyes, paints and adhesives.
Corrosion and scratch resistant: The aluminium oxide layer reinforced through anodising is highly corrosion-resistant, making it suitable for use in even the most extreme conditions. Anodised Aluminium is also more resistant to scratches than the raw material, and it is very easy to clean with just soap and water.
Durable: Anodised Aluminium is highly durable, with a drastically extended lifespan compared to the raw material.
Environmentally friendly: Anodised Aluminium has a low environmental impact. The production process does not produce solvent emissions or CO2. Anodised Aluminium is fully recyclable.
